Wirra Willa Pavilion

One of the great pleasures of photography is access to some pretty remarkable properties. As is often the case, architecture on its own rarely cuts it. The work that really sings connects to its place which is why it's impossible to speak too highly of Matthew Woodward's design of a lakeside pavilion on the NSW central coast. Set in the grounds of a private property, Woodward was given the opportunity to design his first ever project out of his masters course in architecture. The Wirra Willa Pavilion has a superb connection with the whole site and rests unobtrusively in a setting that is a huge credit to its owners. There's an ultra-cool sunken spa with retractable flooring and an all-round view that is nothing short of magical. We cover the project fully in the August issue of the e-magazine Vision. The shot above is a small taste of what's to come. Stay Tuned!
